27. Core Strength: Neutral and Curl
20m
This class focuses on building deep core strength while maintaining space and support through the body.
Using a blanket for support, we explore core work in both neutral and gentle curl positions. The goal is not to shorten the body or rely on traditional crunching patterns, but instead to create space so the deep stabilizing muscles of the core can activate properly.
Many people try to strengthen their core by gripping or collapsing through the front of the body. This often limits the deeper stabilizers from turning on and can create unnecessary tension through the neck, shoulders, and lower back.
In this class you will learn how to maintain space in the torso while activating the deep core muscles that support the spine.
By organizing the rib cage and pelvis well and allowing the breath to assist the movement, the body can generate strength from deeper within rather than relying on superficial muscles.
This class helps build core strength that supports alignment, protects the spine, and translates into everyday movement.
