10. Movement of the Pelvis
21m
In this class we explore the movement of the pelvis.
Using a chair and pillow for support, you will begin to understand the different ways the pelvis can move and how these movements influence the spine. Many of us lose awareness of the pelvis and its relationship to gravity, which often leads to compression and shortening through the lower back and hips.
When the pelvis becomes stiff or held in one position, the spine must compensate. This can create tension, restriction, and unnecessary pressure through the back.
Through gentle guided movement, you will begin to feel how the pelvis moves in multiple directions and how those movements create natural motion through the spine.
As the pelvis begins to move more freely, the spine can respond with greater ease and the body can release built up tension in the hips, back, and surrounding muscles.
This class helps restore awareness of the pelvis, deepen your relationship to gravity, and reconnect the natural movement between the pelvis and spine.
