This class builds on the previous hip work by introducing larger movements to open and mobilize the hips.
The hips are designed to move freely in multiple directions, but long periods of sitting, tension patterns, and pelvic positioning can restrict that movement. When the pelvis is held in certain positions, it can limit how the hip joint moves and create tightness through the muscles that attach around the pelvis.
Over time this restriction can lead to shortening and gripping in the hips, which may affect the spine, lower back, and even the way the legs move.
In this class we use larger hip mobilizations and releases to explore movement through the entire hip joint. These movements help open the different areas of the hips while building a deeper understanding of how the pelvis influences hip mobility.
As the hips begin to move more freely, tension patterns around the pelvis can soften and the spine and legs are able to move with greater ease and support.
This class helps restore mobility through the hips while creating more space and freedom throughout the pelvis, spine, and lower body.
